Topside Terrace Kitchen and Bar – Little Italy 

A newer addition to Little Italy, Topside Terrace Kitchen and Bar is located atop Hotel Republic. The venue is a refined yet relaxing spot offers an outstanding lounge experience specializing in happy hour, small bites, and weekend brunch all inspired by coastal living. Serving Baja California and Classic American Fare, you can choose from a list of contemporary cocktails like the Straw Basil Bourbon Lemonade, made with fresh local strawberries and basil. 

Ocean Beach Brewery – Ocean Beach

If you’re looking for a more laid back vibe, venture away from the city and into the small beach neighborhoods that offer a more casual kind of charm. These neighborhoods and their establishments bring in a more relaxed crowd. If you want to have a good time without having to dress up or pay a cover charge, look no further than Ocean Beach Brewery. Located half a block from the OB pier, the rooftop deck at Ocean Beach Brewery is a great spot to take in views of the colorful sunsets and the taste of local craft beer that San Diego is known for.

The Nolen – Gaslamp 

One of the most stunning rooftop bars in San Diego, The Nolen is a stunning venue featuring both a patio and a rooftop. This communal setting features incredible views of Petco Park and the Coronado Bridge along with a thorough cocktail menu with offerings for the most seasoned of imbibers.

El Prez – Pacific Beach 

One of the most popular spots in Pacific Beach, El Prez has a tremendous rooftop area featuring cozy lounges and spectacular views of the ocean. While it can get crowded at times, it’s the perfect place to unwind for a perfect Saturday evening. Plus, they’re margaritas are amazing. 

Bagby Beer Company – Oceanside 

This brewery is a standout out among the many that have opened in Oceanside and the surrounding area. Featuring a rotating selection of beers, you will also find a unique menu with some truly delectables foods that go along perfectly with its rooftop view.

Catania – La Jolla 

Overlooking La Jolla’s picturesque downtown, Catania makes for a lovely spot to grab a fabulous Italian dinner  while being treated to scenic views. The menu features unforgettable plates of handmade pasta, woodfired pastas, fresh seafood, and decadent desserts. 

Park 101 – Carlsbad 

This two-floor open-air bar/restaurant is new to the North Country scene, and it has quickly become one of the top spots in the area to grab a beer and enjoy the mild Carlsbad air. The rooftop area offers comfortable lounges complete with a communal fire pit, so grab a drink, get some of their incredible pulled pork, and let the good times roll.

Born & Raised – Little Italy 

Opulence is the first word that comes to mind when visiting Born & Raised. Inspired by designs straight out of the roaring ’20s, Born & Raised is both eccentric and eclectic, featuring a lovely rooftop lounge and bar. A steakhouse at heart, you’ll also find some unique dishes like a Kampachi Crudo or Soupe aux Truffes Noires. 

Mister A’s – Bankers Hill

Feeling romantic? You’ll have to plan ahead if you want to partake the elegance of Mister A’s. This sophisticated rooftop restaurant is one of San Diego’s toughest reservations (and for good reason). Dining at Mister A’s is a coveted experience. With a strict dress code, fine American Cuisine that consistently earns rave reviews and national awards, and the breathtaking view of San Diego’s cityscape, this restaurant is perhaps our city’s most iconic fine dining establishment. The Rooftop by STK – Downtown

If you fancy yourself part of the hip, nightlife scene in San Diego, then you’ve probably heard of The Rooftop by STK. This rooftop restaurant and bar caters to a young, vibrant crowd. Complete with a swimming pool, cabanas, and live DJs on Friday and Saturday nights, The Rooftop by STK has everything you’ll need for a lavish, exciting night out on the town. Their menu offers farm-direct American cuisine “with a cool, SoCal spin” and creative signature cocktails. Join them for happy hour Sunday-Thursday from 4-7pm.
