Recipe – The ‘Wake Up San Diego’ Smoothie

Blending up a smoothieLet’s face it, most San Diegans are always on the run, trying to beat morning traffic on the way to work or zooming to campus to get a parking spot. A forgotten breakfast turns into a Red Bull and some muffin that is days old from the liquor store down the street, but it doesn’t need to be that way! Next time that you are in a hurry, whip up this smoothie that is packed with nutrients and tastes wonderful too!

Ingredients:

  • 1 frozen banana, halved
  • a handful of fresh blueberries
  • 1-2tbsp of organic peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup silken tofu

Directions:

Super simple…throw it all in the blender, blend it up,  pour it in a portable mug, and scoot out the door!

    I love your breakfast selection of Red Bull and a 3 day old muffin from the Liquor store…absolutely fantastic! Because it’s true.
