Valentine’s Day at PB AleHouse in Pacific Beach

By  |

Since it was first established in 2007, Pacific Beach AleHouse has been successful thanks to its scenic ocean front location and comfortable, laid-back vibe. In addition, PB AleHouse brings in creatively imagined microbrewery selections made within the walls of the restaurant to pair with its delectable cuisine, which has had locals returning for more since the beginning.

As an award-winning brewery designed to be a sanctuary for handcrafted beer-devotees, Pacific Beach AleHouse offers its visitors the opportunity to see brewing in action. Floor to ceiling glass walls let you witness the kettle and fermentation tanks that give life to Pacific Beach AleHouse’s signature craft beers. What sets PB AleHouse apart from other modern-American restaurants is the infusion of dressings, sauces, batters, and desserts with the beer they brew in-house.

This Valentine’s Day, PB AleHouse is offering a three-course pre-fixed menu for $60.00 per couple. For the first course, choose a starter that was designed to share. Choose between the Baked Brie, wrapped in a puff pastry and served with almonds, granny smith apple slices, and sourdough bread pieces; the Warm Crab Dip mixed with fresh crab, spinach and lavash crisps; the Honeymoon Oysters, which consists of 4 oysters on the half shell and served with a quail egg and fish roe; or theTempura Baby Octopus served with sea beans and topped with a sweet soy glaze.

For the entrees, four options are available. Pasta lovers can delight in the Langostino Scampi, made with angel hair pasta mixed with sun dried tomatoes, capers, micro basil, and fresh garlic. For carnivores, the Braised Short Rib is supremely baked, topped with a bourbon demi and celery root puree, and served with roasted baby beets. For a fresh catch option, order the Seared Albacore served with wakame, macadamia nut sticky rice, pickled ginger and topped with a sweet chili sauce. Last but not least, and sure to have mouths watering, is the Boursin Stuffed Chicken wrapped in prosciutto, and served with roasted fingerling potatoes and grilled asparagus.

Couples get to share three desserts including the Spiced Hot Chocolate Shots, Chocolate Covered Strawberries, and Vanilla Crème Brule. Wash it all down with a pint of their in-house brewed beers such as the 858 Blonde, Grand Ave IPA, or the Soledad Stout.
