San Diego Late Night Food Specials

By  |

Do you ever find yourself out past 10PM and wonder, “what’s open other than Denny’s?” There’s a time and a place for the all-you-can-eat Grand-slam, but sometimes you’re hungry for something more appetizing. We’ve searched San Diego to give you a list to keep in your back pocket for the next time you’re in need of a late night snack.

Open 24 Hours

Step inside this 1940’s feeling diner and glow against the light of a neon sign. Open 24-hours from Thursday-Sunday (and until midnight every other night), Studio Diner in Mira Mesa is a hot spot for many. Built on Stu Segall Production’s old set, this diner is still decorated with several behind-the-scenes items from movies and t.v. shows. Get a sandwich, salad, or baked good and wash it down with a chocolate egg cream. They accept reservations on weekdays, and are always a good option for late night celebrations!

Find yourself hungry in the Gaslamp District, but unsure of the time? Don’t fret. Brian’s 24 is open 24-hours a day and offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Whether you are in a frenzy from your latest vacation, or been in a daze all week, this comfort-food menu is just what you need. Eggs benedict, waffles, burgers, pizza, drinks–what are you craving? Whatever it is, you can find it here.

Brian’s weekday specials include:

  • $3 Off Breakfast (Monday-Friday, 5-11AM)
  • $10.99 Weekday Lunch Specials (Monday-Friday, 11AM-4PM)
  • Happy Hour Specials (Everyday from 4-7PM)

Late Night Happy Hour

The happy hour at Las Hadas Grill in the Gaslamp District is from 10-12PM every night, giving you the discounted rate without a discounted taste. Grab a few drinks and an assortment of small bites to satisfy your late night cravings. This restaurant provides Latin American style food with upbeat music and promotes a positive atmosphere. What’s keeping you from trying it?

Union Kitchen & Tap in Encinitas has late night specials as well! From Sunday to Thursday at 10PM-close, order $5 house wines, drafts and $10 flatbreads. Just steps from the beach, Union’s vibe is hip without feeling too overdone. Enjoy a long day at the beach and finish the night playing darts or cozying up in the little nook inside this cute restaurant.

Vin de Syrah in Downtown San Diego offers some of the best wine in town. On Sunday’s from 5-12PM you can enjoy $7 well cocktails, draft beers, featured wine, and house made sangria. End your weekend on a high note, and don’t let the woes of Monday get in the way. Syrah finds it’s inspiration from the integration of New York and Paris cultures. They switch off between playing jazz, a live DJ, showing movies and ladies nights. If you’re looking for a new late-night favorite, this might be just the place.

If you’re a night owl by nature, don’t let the clock stop you from finding quality food that you’ll want to brag about. Try one of these late-night specials and indulge in after-hours dining somewhere other than Denny’s.
