Café 222, a local breakfast cafe, has been getting the latest buzz in San Diego. They have been open since 1991 and have been the winner of the golden medallion for four years in a row. With their funky yet trendy style, Café 222 will definitely catch your eye. They have a wide variety of breakfast and lunch items, we guarantee you’ll enjoy.

On July 28, they will be featured on “The Best Thing I Ever Ate” with Bobby Flay, a hit show on the Food Network, where food critics take you to their favorite spot for amazing meals. Bobby Flay is a very popular chef in New York and has also hosted in seven different cooking shows on The Food Network. He seems to be loving San Diego food because he also just had Mama Testa featured on one of his shows last week (see our write-up here).  Anything that has to do with great food, expect to see Bobby Flay!

On Tuesday, Bobby will introduce his favorite, Peanut Butter and Banana Stuffed French Toast, a sweet, delicious, and rich tasting breakfast. With such a delightful combination of peanut butter and bananas on French toast, no wonder this has been such a popular dish.

The next time you are thinking of taking a visit to San Diego or you’re just in the mood for some Peanut Butter and Banana Stuffed French Toast, make sure to make a stop at Café 222 for an amazing breakfast experience. You know that the food must be delicious if Bobby Flay has been there, so don’t miss out!
