Tar balls wash up on San Diego shores

This weekend beach goers were surprised to find little black patches of tar scattered on two beaches in North County. The debris was identified as tar ranging from nickle-sized to 4 inches wide and appear like flat tar patties. The tar washed up on the popular area, Moonlight Beach in Encinitas and on Oceanside’s Buccaneer Beach.

Neverland Ranch may open gates for tourists

Michael Jackson fans around the world may just get to experience the infamous Neverland ranch. The 2,676 acre park and the former home of the “King of Pop” may become California’s next state park. The Santa Barbara estate is currently owned by the Jacksons and Colony Capital investment group, but California Assemblyman, Mike Davis has presented the idea that the state buy the property.

“The Hills”phenomenon has finally come to an end after four years, six seasons and 102 episodes. However, the show had one final twist under it’s belt for viewers in the last episode. “Nothing you see on TV is real,” Cavallari, 23 said. “Fans need to understand it’s all entertainment.”

George Steinbrenner Yankees owner dies at 80

The New York Yankees confirmed that owner, George Steinbrenner died early this morning due to a heart attack. Steinbrenner was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa, Fla. And was pronounced dead at about 6:30 a.m. ET.The Tampa, Fla. resident had just celebrated his birthday July 4.

Gadget lovers from all over have been patiently awaiting the arrival of the iPhone 4. The i4 device was unveiled three weeks ago to the WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference). The phone can be purchased starting Thursday, June 24, but many began placing advanced orders for the phone weeks ago. The i4 has a web cam on the front screen, making it possible for other iPhone 4 users to communicate while watching each other.

“The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” ready to take a bite out of theaters June 30

Twilight fans aka “Twlighters” have already begun to camp out for the premiere of the third installment of the series, “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.” The movie premieres Friday, June 24 in Los Angeles at 5 p.m. Tickets are now being sold for “Eclipse” as it is set to hit theaters nationwide on June 30. It will be playing in normal theaters as well as IMAX.
