Patio Playhouse presents I Take This Man, a hilarious comedy by Jack Sharkey and directed by Sherrie Colbourn. The farce opens July 10 and runs through Aug. 2.

When Gideon Hollis spots an unconscious man lying in Copley Square just after the Boston Marathon racers have crossed the finish line, she reasons that since nice guys finish last, this must be Mr. Right. After the man revives and cannot remember who he is, Gideon tells him that they are married. Complications ensue at a furious pace in this hilarious comedy.

We decided to splurge and take our Granddaughter to this play “I take this Man”. We so wanted to enjoy a laugh- out- loud play as was described by North County Times Preview writer, Ruth lepper. Sad to say, there was very little Laugh-out-loud moments. The actress Miranda Porter was the one exception, she was delightful. But the rest of the cast was way off in their timing. Though we could sense this was to be a very enjoyable play, but not represented well by this cast. We wanted others to be aware of the disappointment before they spend their very limited funds on this very disappointing play.
