Hurry: “Hedwig” Closing Early

By  |

hed09_hedwig1Cygnet Theatre Company has announced Hedwig and the Angry Inch is closing early, with its final performance July 12. Ticket holders are being contacted by the box office staff to assist with exchanges.

The programming change is in part due to lead actor Matthew Tyler (pictured) landing a role in the touring company of Mamma Mia. Artistic Director Sean Murray and Executive Director Bill Schmidt felt that it would be best to close the show with Tyler’s final performance.

Hedwig and the Angry Inch was originally slated to be Cygnet’s final production at its Rolando Theatre, however, due to the change in schedule, management is currently considering adding a production. Cygnet is currently scheduled to vacate the venue the first of October.
