CCT Stages ‘Traditions of Christmas’

With a cast of more than 150 volunteers, celebrities, choirs and even live animals, the Christian Community Theatre presents Traditions of Christmas, A Musical Spectacular! The 17th annual family Christmas show, considered San Diego’s most elaborate family Christmas entertainment event, opens Dec. 10 and plays through Dec. 23.

Traditions of Christmas is an exciting and colorful presentation of favorite Christmas traditions with holiday music, colorful costumes, favorite holiday stories, singers, dancers, children and live animals.

Musical highlights include:

  • Christmas through the Centuries: From the Middle Ages to the Space Age, see how the celebrations have varied.
  • Candy Cane Christmas: Featuring the CCT precision kickline dancers.
  • Living Nativity: The entire cast, live animals and majestic Christmas music combine to bring the Christmas story onto the stage in an unforgettable finale.

  • Lunch with Santa: Have lunch with Saint Nick on Saturday, Dec. 12. This special event starts at 11:30 a.m. and includes lunch, face painting, cookie decorating, backstage tour and more. Tickets are $20-$50.
