Movies to See This Weekend

By  |

Movie Goers“Unknown,” “Never Say Never,” “Just Go With It,” “The Eagle,” “The Roommate” and many others are some of the newest movie releases out in theaters this weekend.

“Unknown” follows the story of a man (Liam Neeson) who awakes from a coma while on a business trip in Europe to discover that his identity has been stolen and another man has stepped into his life. Even his own wife (January Jones) doesn’t recognize him. Neeson strives to prove his real identity with the help of a young woman. This movie is a classic thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

“Never Say Never,” released last Friday, follows Justin Bieber’s path to stardom and provides exclusive footage of some of his performances from his 2010 tour. The film is in 3D, which helps make this movie-watching experience more interactive. Other than Bieber, some of the cast includes: MIley Cyrus, Sean Kingston, Ludacris and Usher. The movie is generally geared toward teens, considering that they are the main audience who listen to Bieber’s music.

In “Just Go With It,” a plastic surgeon (Adam Sandler) asks his assistant (Jennifer Aniston) to pose as his soon-to-be ex wife in order to conceal the lies to previously told his current (much younger) girlfriend. These lies start to build up, and eventually his assistant’s kids become involved. Eventually everyone comes together for a trip to Hawaii, and Sandler’s plan ultimately backfires. This movie is a must-see for those who like romantic comedies.

“The Roommate” is a new thriller featuring Leighton Meester and Minka Kelly. The film follows the life of an emotionally unbalanced freshman in college who becomes increasingly obsessed with her new roommate. The suspense builds up, and nobody can predict what the crazy, psychotic roommate will do next.

There is a new movie out there for everyone, whether it’s a comedy, drama, thriller, or suspense, and it is definitely worth it to check out some of these new releases this weekend.
