From aliens to cars to zombies, anything is possible when it comes it video games. This week is an especially good week for PS3 fans as a flock of new video games hits the shelves today. With summer almost ending, and for some, school already starting perhaps it’s not such a bad idea to hit the stores and buy a video game if any of the following titles are of interest to you.
First is the long awaited “Dead Island” featuring a dreamy island resort that turns into a place of nightmare as zombies attack and four survivors are left to fend for themselves. After a controversial trailer featuring a family getting killed and a young girl being thrown out of a window while on holiday accompanied by a haunting piano tune, “Dead Island” certainly has attracted much attention, even before its debut. “Dead Island” sells from $49-59 and is rated M17+ for mature audience.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine
“Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine” also came out today. This third person action video game features its player as a Space Marine, an enhanced being with healing abilities. With weapons, players must fight against the Orks and the Forces of Chaos. “Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine” is rated M17+, selling for $49-$59.
Following the success of the “Resistance: Fall of Man” and its sequel “Resistance 2”, the third installment, “Resistance 3” is also now in store for $49, rated M17+. As fans of the first two video games will know, the game features alien invasion in a first-person shooter mode.
Driver: San Francisco
Next up is “Driver: San Francisco” which features Tanner, an undercover cop who is in a coma after a shootout. His coma state allows him to shift from one car to another as he attempts to catch Jericho. The game can be played as a singer player or multi player. The game sells for $59 with a Teen rating.
